The purpose of the present General Terms of Use (hereinafter the "GTUs") is to determine the rules for creating an account allowing access to the digital services of the Renault Group brands.
ID Connect Renault Group is a unique authentication service developed,
maintained and managed by Renault SAS. It allows the creation and use of a personal customer account, accessible from websites, mobile applications and certain vehicles of the Renault Group brands.
This authentication service notably allows the user with the same
identifier and the same password to connect to the various digital
applications:
- Renault Group brands,
- Renault Group partners wishing to allow authentication to their services using the ID Connect Renault Group service.
During the registration process, you will enter an account name and password.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and your password.
You agree to immediately inform RENAULT SAS - a simplified joint stock company with capital of 533,941,113 euros, registered with the Evreux Trade and Companies Registry under number 780 129 987, having its registered office at 122-122b Avenue du Général Leclerc 92100 Boulogne-Billancourt - (hereinafter "RENAULT SAS") - of any unauthorized use of your account and/or password, and to ensure that you log out at the end of each session.
RENAULT SAS shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these obligations.
Registration, access and use of Groupe Renault services require RENAULT to collect certain data and in particular personal data which allow, within the meaning of the applicable regulations, to directly or indirectly identify a natural person.
Personal data is processed by RENAULT, in its capacity as data controller, in accordance with these regulations. Personal data concerning you and data relating to your vehicle are essential to allow you to register for the services of the Groupe Renault, to use the Services and/or the functions and to receive, if you accept, offers of new services and products.
RENAULT takes the appropriate physical, technical and organisational measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of personal data, in particular with a view to protecting them against any loss, accidental destruction, alteration and unauthorised access.
The processing of personal data referred to above is likely to involve the transfer of personal data to countries that are not members of the European Economic Area, whose legislation on the protection of personal data differs from that of the European Union. These data transfers are carried out under conditions and guarantees specific to ensuring their security and confidentiality.
It is your responsibility to inform, prior to the use of the vehicle and connected services, any person using the vehicle or having taken place on board it:
- the collection and processing of personal data,
- vehicle geolocation,
- the possibility of deactivating the vehicle's connectivity,
and to obtain authorisation for the transmission to third parties of certain data involved in the use of the vehicle and the services and/or functions.
Personal data may be shared for the purposes mentioned above, to RENAULT Group, to its partners and service providers, to the extent necessary for the performance of the tasks entrusted to them.
RENAULT may also communicate personal data in the event that it is obliged to disclose it to an authorised third party in order to comply with any legal obligation, or to apply or enforce the present conditions. In order to allow RENAULT to hold up-to-date and accurate personal data, the user can check regularly and modify them if necessary in the "My Profile" section of My Renault, My Dacia or My Alpine.
Personal data specific to My Renault, My Dacia and My Alpine and will not be kept by RENAULT when the account of these accounts is closed.
Personal data relating to your vehicle will be kept for the duration of your R-LINK connectivity contract.
In accordance with the regulations in force, the user has a right of access to the data concerning them as well as the right to request that inaccurate, incomplete or outdated data be rectified, updated or deleted and to object, subject to justifying a legitimate reason, to the processing of the data concerning them by contacting the Customer Relations Department - RENAULT SAS - 92109 Boulogne-Billancourt Cedex.
This opposition may, however, make it impossible for RENAULT to provide the subscribed services. The user also has the right to the portability of his data, which will allow them to receive the personal data concerning them that has been provided to RENAULT. , in a structured format, and to require RENAULT to transmit this to any other data controller communicated to RENAULT.
The terms and conditions of the ID Connect service can be modified at any time by RENAULT SAS.
The user is therefore advised to refer to the latest version of the GTUs, which can be accessed at any time on the website, before browsing. In case of disagreement with the GTUs, the User may not use the ID Connect service.
If any clause is held null and void, it will be deemed unwritten but will not invalidate other clauses.
RENAULT SAS’s failure to exercise any of the rights resulting from these GTUs does not constitute a waiver of its rights.
Certain features of the My Renault, My Dacia and My Alpine applications are only accessible in mainland France.
The present GTUs as well as all the rights and obligations generated by the creation of the account are subjected to the French law and are interpreted and applied in accordance with it.
Any dispute relating to the creation of the account must be the subject of an attempt at amicable settlement between the parties before being submitted to the Courts of the jurisdiction of Nanterre to which the parties attribute an exclusive competence.
